Grekova Marina
Marina Grekova was born in 1983 in Izhevsk.
She lives and works in Moscow.
Educated at Udmurt State University in Applied Informatics in Design (2005). Graduated from the Moscow School of Contemporary Art in the Contemporary Art program (2024).
Marina Grekova works with questions of time and memory. The artist finds answers to these questions through various experiments, collecting photographs of changing textures, working with family archives, creating prints on fabric with rust from old metal objects that have a history of use in everyday life. In this way, the artist finds the keys for answers to understand how the world works and how we perceive it, transmit information to each other, emotions we experience by creating non-verbal languages. Experiments can be in different directions, such as painting, graphics, collages, video art, performance, music, dance.
