Nemova Yulia
Yulia Nemova is an artist, architect and director in the field of architecture, graduated from Moscow Institute of Architecture in 2015. She has worked as an architect in Moscow and Paris. Yulia's artistic projects, including performances, have been shown at FĀBULA Gallery, CSI Winzavod, Peschanaya, MOST Festival in Kaluga, Boomer Gallery in London. In 2020 she became a resident of the fifth season of Open Studios at the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art.
She is currently a student of the Master's program in Contemporary Art Practice at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

“My work is at the intersection of traditional and digital mediums, such as hand drawing and augmented reality, virtual reality and video. I am interested in the relationship between technology and hand drawing, its expression in the local, the temporal. I wonder what notable features a place might have and which ones go unnoticed, how we are connected to a place, how our bodies might relate to it, and whether it is possible to become closer to the spaces we inhabit.”
