"Inside and Out: The Sources of Superpower"
Collaboration of MSCA and Erborian artists

On October 15, the Moscow School of Contemporary Art and the Korean-French cosmetics brand Erborian will present the exhibition “Inside and Outside: Sources of Superpower” at the a—s—t—r—a gallery at Winzavod. The exhibition will feature works by 20 young artists, students and graduates of the MSCA, who, as part of the collaboration, reflected on the root cause of internal support and rethought the theme of sources of superpower.
The winners of the open call held within the project were Marina Grekova, a participant of the Third Place fair and exhibition projects in the GROUND Solyanka, GUM-Red-Line, Art & Brut galleries, Kristina Purshina, a graduate of the Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Art and the Rodchenko School, a participant of the Third Place fair, whose works are stored in the museum collection of the UNESCO Art Fund in Bucharest and in private collections in Russia, Italy, the Czech Republic, Romania and Belarus, as well as Daniel Tyrtyshnikov, a participant in exhibitions in the Ruarts gallery, U Contemporary.
The winners' works can also be seen on the limited edition packaging of popular Erborian cosmetics, which will go on sale on October 14. On October 10, a display case decorated with the work of Marina Grekova will be presented in the Evropeisky shopping center. Until mid-November, it can be seen in the brand's signature boutique. The exhibition “Inside and Outside: Sources of Superpower” at the a—s—t—r—a gallery will feature works not only by the finalists, but also by 17 participants in the open call. Guests will be able to see paintings, graphics, objects and video art dedicated to discovering power both inside a person and in the external environment. This theme, on the one hand, offers a broad field for artistic expression, on the other, it corresponds to the concept of Erborian.
Among the presented authors will also be Maria Michi, a participant in exhibition projects in Italy, Russia, Scotland and Turkey, the Cosmoscow and TUPIK 20 22 fairs, whose works were exhibited at MMOMA, Ruarts Gallery and SISTEMA Gallery, Katya Gerun, a participant in the Third Place fair and exhibitions at GUM-Red-Line, GROUND Solyanka, Cube.Moscow and other spaces. Artist Irina Zyuskina, whose works have been exhibited in London and throughout Russia, including at the New Tretyakov Gallery, Zotov Center, and the blazar fair, as well as London Art Biennale 2021 participant Daria Klementyeva, artists Varvara Silantyeva, Margarita Zhuravleva, Lada Lunn, Ekaterina Osipova, Aksana Pruttskova, Dasha Sidorina, Ekaterina Nefedyeva (KK), Lena Surova, Maria Chelnokova, Anastasia Ryzhikova, Alya Segova, Ivanka Garay and Ulyana Lev.
The exhibition will be divided into two key parts: the first part explores the power associated with affection, beauty and naturalness; the second reveals images associated with corporality, physiology and human essence.
The exhibition will run until October 19. As part of the exhibition, in partnership with the Association of Galleries (AGA), a parallel program will be held: “Gallery — Artist — Brand. Rules of the Game.”
