Maro Mikoyan is a multidisciplinary artist, film director, basic lines is sculpting, video art,  AR.

"With Kazakh and Armenian roots, I was born and raised in Moscow,  and my adolescent years happened in 90-s and 00-s. I belong to dras tically unlike cultures and I grew up in a rapidly transforming country  with an ever-changing environment, and such experience has built  me and defined me as an artist. In my works, I explore the relations  between the past and the future, nature and technologies, ethnicity,  and globalization. I love mixing everything, fulfilling my necessity of  keeping the traditions and the techniques of the past and the need to  add the new reality. Therefore my ceramics live in a digital space, I film  modern scripts with a VHS camera, and I complement classic art with  new technologies. I never stop experimenting with the media, choos ing a particular combination for each project, and sometimes I take a  big risk when I implement something completely new.

The stories behind my works are also a mix of casual situations, histori cal facts, dreams, deja vus, fantasies, emotions, global agenda, and all  the info noise. I aim to create a brand new yet vaguely familiar visual  environment, where the spectators could find the answers along with  the questions all by themselves".
