"She was originally a progressive artistic youth in the late Soviet Union. A superb and sophisticated professional education, a job at the megagigantic state Combine to produce ideological fetishes and superobjects, and an incredible desire to make art with a unique meaning. Art lived independently, consisting of the petals of civilization flying through a private, unique, inimitable life. Art that has its own unique voice to reproduce the deep, beautiful and far from simple experiences of a thinking person.
Finding herself in the city of musicians and artists in Berlin (Western Free Berlin) Irina turned out to be a double favorite of this amazing place. It is hard to say whether it was the success of the band Unterwasser, where Irina's art really found a voice in the band's lyrics and music, or the special tender attention of the Berlin Akademie der Kunst to the young artist from the USSR. As a result, the ability to draw beautifully and create monumental images of "state" quality, but with penetrating poetic content, brought Irina Dubrovsky not only the love of professionals, but also world fame, quite by accident. On the background of her graffiti on the surface of the Berlin Wall in 1990 Pink Floyd played their concert The Wall, which changed the world's consciousness.
Now Irina Dubrovskaya, along with her art, is engaged in humanitarian work and writing.
Irina Dubrovskaya herself no longer divides her work into genres. Irina Dubkovskaya calls her style "primitive conceptualism," but don't be fooled by the words - primitive here is basic, ancient, natural, and conceptualism is the ability to let the rules of the world through your feelings. European curators define Irina's art as "animate metaphors. And yes - it is an art of knowledge and reflection, a fantastically beautiful drawing in the spirit of the great European masters, meeting the demands of the strange pair - the soul and the brain."
