Arkhangelsk, Pomorie are the native lands of the artist, so the works are filled with a variety of sacral symbols, unreal spaces, images of the ship and the sea, islands and churches, are addressed to the constant process of search and unraveling of the metaphysics of the North.

“In art and in the process of creating works: I am engaged in the search, detailed analysis and processing of the identity of the Arkhangelsk northern region. I study Pomor identity, northern motifs, patterns, forms of cultural expression. Subjects in works: hummed in childhood by grandmother / told stories / illustrations of books / transience / otherworldliness / human romantic relations in bare mythical manifestation.”
