Gordeev's work explores themes of identity in the midst of change. Influenced by his modeling experience, Alexander pays attention to the relationship between clothing, body and self-perception in his work. One of his significant projects was the calligraphy-inspired Asemic Letters 2020 series, which marked a turning point in his career. This series was widely recognized in the institutional art world, leading to subsequent exhibitions and participation in renowned Russian art fairs.
In 2022, Alexander began organizing and curating poetry readings with different poets, exploring poetry as an artistic medium. Readings have already taken place in Russia, France, Denmark and Germany.
