Safronova Mariya
Mariya Safronova was born in 1979 in the city of Rzhev, Tver Region.
In 2003 she graduated from the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov (monumental workshop), in 2011 — Institute of Contemporary Art and the School of Contemporary Art “Free Workshops”.

Scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in 2003. Included in the Top 100 recognized artists of Russia according to InArt. In 2017, it was included in the 49ART Russian investment art rating, representing outstanding contemporary artists under the age of 50.
Finalist of the Kandinsky Prize in 2012, nominee of 2014 and 2017.
2016 — Selection of a curator at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts annual summer auction, Boston, Massachusetts, USA
2015 — Laureate of the Sergey Kuryokhin Prize in the nomination “The Best Work of Visual Art”.
The works of Maria Safronova are in the collections of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Moscow, Russia), the Erarta Museum and Gallery of Modern Art (St. Petersburg, Russia), the Sergey Kuryokhin Center for Contemporary Art (St. Petersburg, Russia), the Museum of Women and Children (Beijing, China), as well as in various private collections in Russia and abroad.
