My name is Alina Kryukova, I am the founder of a—s—t—r—a gallery, and I would like to invite you to reflect on contemporary collecting and patronage.
My dream is to see how the world around us is transformed into beauty by the hands of like-minded people; how patronage, charity and philanthropy become a new norm and part of life strategy; how the formation of family heritage through the support of culture is widely spread beyond the select living rooms.
The answers to the questions will form the basis for research into the state of the modern art market and its problems, which, perhaps, my colleagues and I will be able to solve within the framework of the activities of the Association of Galleries, of which I am a member.
And they will also help to understand the main motivations that inspire people to invest money in culture and consider patronage as part of their lives.
