Berdugina Ekaterina

Born in Irbit in 1993.  

Graduated from I.D.Shadra SCU in 2014, after which she entered the painting faculty of the St. Petersburg Repin Academy of Arts (2014-2020).

In her artistic practice she works with transformations and combinations of different forms. Combining textiles with painting, in sculpture using the collage principle, crosses different mediums. Each material or object used by the author is a kind of sign, which is not only a texture but also a logo. To create works she uses different things: heavy velvet fabrics, thin artificial materials, antiques and cheap souvenirs, plastic products, modern mass-market products.

Seeks to study and analyze what will result from the fusion of different images, to endow the resulting new forms with history and their own mythology.
